Management Team
Dr. Wenaas has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of PepperBall Technologies, Inc. (PTI) since its inception and spin off from Jaycor in 2000, and acts as the company's President and CEO. Dr. Wenaas was CEO and Chairman of the Board of Jaycor from 1991 to March of 2002, at which time the company merged with Titan Corporation. Dr. Wenaas has also served as the Chairman of the Board of JNI Corporation since its organization in February 1997 and until September 2002. For his contributions to Jaycor, JNI and PTI, Dr. Wenaas received both the Director of the Year award from the Corporate Directors Forum for Companies in Transition, and the Entrepreneur of the Year award from Ernst and Young for high technology companies in 2001.
Dr. Wenaas received BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering at Purdue University in 1963 and 1964, and a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo in 1969.

Mr. Sun was named Chief Operating Officer in August of 2008.
In Mr. Sun's most recent position as the COO of MicroVision Optical, a San Diego company, he successfully managed the marketing and operations of Callaway Golf Eyewear for US and International consumer markets. Mr. Sun's 20 years of experience in operations, management and international business will serve as a valuable asset to PepperBall Technologies as the company launches new products into the consumer and institutional markets.
Mr. Vasel was named Vice President, Engineering and Product Development in December 2000, just after joining PTI in October 2000. Since joining PTI, Mr. Vasel has served as the senior scientist and has managed research and development and engineering efforts for existing and new products.
Mr. Vasel worked at Jaycor from 1985 until joining PTI. At Jaycor Mr. Vasel worked as a senior research scientist on numerous government contracts and consumer products.
