Police deploy PepperBall® during disturbance after festival
Rochester police arrested 15 people during the chaotic aftermath of the Puerto Rican Festival. Eleven of those were for traffic-related offenses, three were for disorderly conduct and one was for resisting arrest. Police say this year, objects were set on fire in the street and bottles were thrown at officers. No one was hurt, nor was there damage to any RPD vehicles.
Rochester police say they used verbal warnings, pepperballs and long range acoustical devices to disperse crowds.
