A man is back in custody after he hid from police overnight.
According to Tulsa police, they started receiving calls about an unknown man running through the neighborhood with his hands handcuffed behind his back.
After investigating, officers determined the man was 31-year-old Michael Payne.
Payne had escaped from deputies with the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office Saturday night, police say.
Officers were able to find Payne hiding in the backyard of a house on South Atlanta Place.
Payne was given orders to come out, but refused and jumped over a fence into the next yard.
Officers used PepperBall to get Payne to come out of the trees and shrubbery in the yard.
